JUNIOR TEAMS
We intend to run two junior tennis teams this year with u12 and u16 teams in the Leeds leagues.These teams can only run if there is a dedicated team co-ordinator supported by the parents of the team members. In all cases parents of participating children must play an active part in supporting the teams.
In all leagues our home matches are played on Friday evenings. Away matches are played at times specified by those teams. All parents are expected to help with transport to these matches for which the insurance declaration at the end of this note must be completed.
Without parent’s help these matches won’t happen.
All match players are required to take part in the LTA rating system. A rating can be obtained through British Tennis. If you’re not a member of British Tennis you can join for free at www.lta.org.uk/membership or 020 8487 7000TEAM CO-ORDINATORS

JUNIOR MATCH PRACTICE
Selection of the squads for each of the teams will be made following junior match practice sessions weekly from Friday 15th April.
4pm Mini Red, 4.45pm Mini Orange, 5.30pm Mini Green, U12-U16 6.30 – 7.30pm. Cost £3 per session.
Please contact Richard if you are unable to attend these sessions.JUNIOR COACHING
Group coaching sessions take place on Saturday mornings and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Sessions are split by school year.
Tuesdays – commencing 19th April. These cost £3 per child per session:Rec - Year 2 4.00 – 4.45
Year 3 – Year 5 4.45 – 5.30
Year 6+ 5.30 – 6.15Thursdays – commencing 21st April. These cost £3 per child per session:
Rec - Year 2 4.00 – 4.45
Year 3 – Year 5 4.45 – 5.30
Year 6+ 5.30 – 6.15Saturdays – commencing 23rd April. These sessions are partly subsidised by the Club for ten weeks and cost £1.50 per child per session:
Rec – Year 1 9.00 – 9.45
Years 2 & 3 9.45 – 10.30
Years 4 & 5 10.30 – 11.15
Years 6 & 7 11.15 – 12.00
Years 8+ 12.00 – 1.00Please remember that all participants must be members of the Tennis Club. Also that parents are only allowed on court if they are also members of the Tennis Club.
JUNIOR TOURNAMENTSThe following junior tounaments will be held between 10.00 and 1.00. The normal Rec – Year 1 coaching sessions will still be held between 9.00 and 9.45 on those days:
U11 – Saturday 2nd July
U14 – Saturday 9th July
U16 – Saturday 16th July.
REMEMBER TO BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THESE AND OTHER JUNIOR EVENTS WHICH WILL BE ADVERTISED IN THE CLUB HOUSE. The events are good fun and all junior members are most welcome.
