Yorkshire - Premier A Champions

The Yorkshire 1st team have won Premier A again following 3 weekends in which they have played all the other top 9 counties



Congratulations to the Under 17 ICT team for their excellent performance in this year's competition. They were runners up to Surrey only narrowly missing out in a nail-biting final which went down to the last mixed. The final result was 5 - 5 with Yorkshire losing on count back by one game. Many thanks to team manager John Foster very ably supported by Sue Foster and Kevin Baker


Affiliation Fees/ Result of December 100 Club Draw/Club accreditations/New BDO for Yorkshire

Affiliation Fees for the 2007/2008 season are as follows:-

Adults £2.10 if paid by November 16th and £3.10 if paid thereafter

Juniors (Under 18s) £1.05 if paid by November 16th and £1.55 if paid thereafter

Junior Club Fee is £14.70

The Yorkshire League fee remains at £6 per club

The winner of the December 100 Club draw was Lucy Milne. She gets £30. The winner of the £10 second prize was Nitin Panesar

Congratulations to East Riding Badminton Club (Hull), East Riding Junior Badminton Club (Hull) and Westfield Junior Development Badminton Club (Sheffield), all of whom have recently been accredited by Badminton England. Well done to all the volunteers who put in so much hard work to enable that to happen.

The winner of the May 100 Club draw is David Lloyd. He gets £35. Second prize of £15 goes to Steve Parry.

The Annual Presentation Evening was held on 7th June
at St Chad's Parish Hall in Headingley and was attended
by Adrian Christy, the Badminton England Chief Executive

Malcolm and Josie Smith (couple on right) were thanked by Yorkshire
for the many years they have successfully organised and ran ICT.
John and Sue Foster were thanked by the Association for the magnificent achievement of 10 ICT victories and represented the many youngsters who received awards during the evening
